The Primary Care Trust and GP’s are working with the hospital to try to help people to choose the right way to get the medical help they need.

“Choose Well” is an initiative that gives you the necessary information and choices for accessing that help.

Often people visit Accident & Emergency, for medical problems that are not urgent and that could be dealt with by an alternative health provider.

“Choose Well” will explain that there are many alternatives that people can use to get help / treatment when they are unwell like their local pharmacist, the health helpline and website, NHS Direct as well as their GP.
